Velvet OrbitGOLDEN BUZZER
“The future is a flashback.”
A lush fusion of Nu-Disco and Psychedelic Pop. It features the tight, Nile Rodgers-inspired guitar scratching and driving basslines of classic disco, layered with swirling phaser effects, ethereal vocal harmonies, and contemporary synth-wave textures similar to Parcels and L'Impératrice.
About the band
Velvet Orbit is a cosmic four-piece ensemble that blends 1970s studio perfection with modern electronic dreamscapes. They position themselves as time-traveling hedonists who discovered a lost disco radio station in a wormhole, bridging the gap between analog soul and digital psychedelia.

Man, those guitar scratches are pure Nile Rodgers. The production on this is insane—literally sounds like it was recorded in 1978 and 2028 at the same time. Absolute vibe! ✨
The future really is a flashback. These guys are the only ones doing modern disco right. Can’t wait to see this live under some strobe lights. 🕺✨
If Parcels and L'Impératrice had a baby in a wormhole, this would be it. Loving the phaser effects. Could use a slightly longer bridge, but that bassline is too infectious to complain.
Velvet Orbit never misses. I’ve had this on loop for an hour and I’m already halfway to another galaxy. 🚀💃
