Last updated: October 4, 2026. Brainy Records (brainyrecords.com) is home to several live radio stations and to the custom song and custom radio services.
What we collect
- Custom song: your email, what you wrote (topic or lyrics, who it's for, occasion, genre, language, voice) and the status of your order. We use them to make the song, send you the notices (confirmation, preview ready, delivery) and handle complaints. Our production team processes your topic with subscription AI tools to write the lyrics and the music.
- Your radio: your email, what you chose (radio, topics or groups, sources, language, style, voices, name, times and your time zone) and the status of your demo, your subscription and your episodes. We use them to produce your radio, send you the notices (confirmation, demo ready, welcome, failed payment, cancellation) and handle complaints. Topics are processed by AI tools (on subscription, plus Google Gemini's voice API, which only receives the text to be spoken, never your email).
- Your idea → your show: your email, your idea and the choices in the form (hosts, language, accent, music, name). We use them to produce your segment and song and email you when they're ready.
- Site language: if you order from the English version, we store "English" with your order so your emails and links are in English.
- PayPal subscriptions: PayPal tells us your subscription ID, its status, billing dates and the ID of each charge; we store them with your radio. We never see your card.
- Abuse limits: we keep a fingerprint (hash) of your email and your IP address to allow one free song and one free show per email and a few requests per connection. Those fingerprints are deleted after a few days.
- PayPal payments: PayPal processes the payment; we never see your card. PayPal tells us the payment result, its transaction ID, your payer ID and your PayPal email, which we keep with the order for accounting and complaints. PayPal's privacy policy also applies.
- Affiliates (Clickwise): if you came through an affiliate link, the address carries a click code (
cwclk) and the affiliate's code (cw_refid). We keep it in your browser (local storage and a first-party cookie for 30 days) and with your order; if you buy, we report it to Clickwise with the transaction ID and amount so the affiliate gets paid. We don't share your email or your name. - Waiting list: your email and the option you picked, only to let you know about new custom radios.
- Community radios: the free trial (the first show from your idea, your song preview or your radio demo) is published in Community radios with the radio or song name, language, genre, date, audio and lyrics. We never publish your email, your name, the name of the person the song is for, your IP or the text of your request. It goes through a content filter first. What you pay for stays private unless you choose to publish it. You can remove it anytime from your order's page or by emailing us.
- Cookie-free stats: we count, as daily totals and without personal data, page views, where visits come from, forms started and sent, confirmations, first listens, payments and seconds listened. We separate our own traffic (the team's and our automated tests) to measure only real people's: our browsers keep a local mark and our studio's connection is recognized by a fingerprint (hash) of its IP. We don't use third-party tracking cookies. Your choice of language (and closing the "View in English" note) is saved in your browser only.
- Server logs: like any website, our servers (Google Cloud) log the IP address and browser of each request, for security and to fix errors.
- Band sections (Discover, Quiz): if you sign in with Google, Firebase Authentication keeps your name and email for that session.
How long
The preview of a song you didn't buy and the demo of a radio without a subscription are deleted after 45 days; a purchased song stays available for download for about 13 months; your radio's episodes, about 60 days after they air. What's published in Community radios is kept separately and stays published until you ask us to remove it. Order and payment records are kept as long as accounting law requires. You can ask us to delete anything we're not required to keep.
Where it's stored and who we share it with
Google Cloud and Firebase (United States). Emails are sent through Resend. Audio and images are served from Google Cloud Storage and YouTube (i.ytimg.com), which process your IP to deliver them. We don't sell data to anyone and there are no third-party ads.
Your rights
To see, fix or delete your data (for example, to delete an order), email apps@brainystack.co and we'll take care of it.
